Weaving loom is one of the ancient techniques with the greatest identity in the artisan traditions of Mexico. In our Cupatitzio collection, which in Purépecha language means “river that sings," the local artisans use a traditional backstrap weaving technique, a practice that blends traditional craftsmanship with textile processes of the late 19th century, to handcraft amazing original lamps. 
The origin of the pieces is found in Uruapan, Michoacan, in Mexico, where the river Cupatitzio crosses. This collection honors this river and Mexican waters in general, inspiring the design to obey patterns of movement and elegant motion that also happen with a subtle dance when the artisans swing their bodies with their feet on the pedals when working in the weaving loom, where a new incredible element is integrated to give power and meaning to the entire collection: light.
 
The Camelia lamp is available in 2 different sizes and different fabric styles and is perfect in the bedroom as a desk or bedside lamp or simply as accent lighting in those special spaces at home to create a sense of coziness. 
All our lamps include a standard UL listed E26 socket to be used with any regular bulb up to 60 watts or any LED bulb.
